Become a Mentor: Support Rhodes Students Through the Winter Mentoring Program!
Rhodes College invites alumni and parents to join the annual Winter Mentoring Program and make a meaningful impact on students’ professional development. This program provides an invaluable opportunity to share your expertise, career insights, and networking tips with current Rhodes students as they explore their future career paths.
How It Works:
- Mentors will meet with students for three to four one-hour sessions, primarily scheduled in February and March, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.
- Conversations can cover topics like:
- Sharing a “day-in-the-life” view of your career.
- Discussing valuable skills, certifications, or experiences in your field.
- Offering resume and networking tips tailored to your industry.
- Sharing personal reflections, like why you chose Rhodes or a favorite college memory.
We aim to pair students with mentors whose career experiences align with their professional interests, ensuring meaningful and impactful discussions.
Why Mentor?
Your guidance could make a profound difference in helping students prepare for their careers and discover opportunities in their fields of interest. Plus, participating is a rewarding way to stay connected with the Rhodes community and give back to future graduates.
Register by January 15. If you are not matched during the program, your information will remain on hand to support students and alumni seeking mentors throughout the year.
