Rhodes College is committed to building a culture of community excellence, civil and thoughtful discourse, and belonging for each and every student, faculty, staff member, and graduate.
We are grateful for the work that has been done by those who came before us, and we embrace our responsibility and vision for responding to new and persistent challenges. Making sustained progress towards a truly welcoming college community requires campus-wide commitment. It calls on us to reflect on the past, to be aware of the present, and to imagine the future. We can gain confidence from reflecting on the ways we have already grown in positive directions as we continue to envision the road ahead.
In 2020, we developed the IDEAS Framework to formulate first steps in a multi-year plan to enhance our campus community, with concrete benchmarks, tactics, and action items. The first phase of the IDEAS Framework was completed in 2024, and we must now take stock of what we have accomplished and what next steps are emerging.
