Refugee Empowerment Program

About 70% of Rhodes students participate in an internship during their four years on campus, and more than 85% participate in some form of community service in that same time. So, it's no surprise that some of the service opportunities and internships might overlap. These two students have been able to do  that—and find a new family—with the kids at the Refugee Empowerment Program, a nonprofit focused on helping immigrant children adjust to life in America, and to Memphis in particular.
