GSST 460: Internship
This course is a directed internship in which students integrate their academic study of gender issues with practical experience in off-campus organizations, agencies, or businesses that have been approved as Gender and Sexuality Studies internships.
Students apply for internships through Career Services and then work with a Gender and Sexuality Studies faculty member to devise an internship syllabus composed of a reading list and set of assignments to complement the internship. The syllabus must be submitted, along with an internship proposal, to the chair of the Gender and Sexuality Studies Program for approval. Types of assignments may include short papers, a reading journal, and a presentation at the Gender Studies symposium or the Rhodes Symposium.
For internship proposal guidelines, contact the chair of Gender and Sexuality Studies.
