Virtual Admission Programs

Learn more about Rhodes from the comfort of your home! Throughout the academic year, we offer several visit programs that provide prospective students and their families with a thorough introduction to Rhodes and Memphis.

Are you an admitted senior? If so, mark your calendar for our three virtual “Preview Days”! Our Preview Days are designed to give admitted students a better idea of what you can expect from a Rhodes experience . . . from the comfort of your own home!

The first Preview Day will focus on academics and include conversations with faculty members. The end of the program will feature a virtual academic fair where you can connect with professors and students from our 50+ academic majors.

The second Preview Day will focus on student life and will include conversations with current students and staff members and end with a student organizations fair.

The third and final Preview Day will be a longer, general program that will encompass the classroom experience as well as student life. An optional virtual tour and session on Health Professions Advising will be offered before the visit.

Crossroads is a virtual program taking place on April 6th for admitted students that celebrates the many cultural experiences of our prospective students and provides a window into what those experiences could look like at Rhodes. Attendees can expect to hear from Rhodes students, faculty, and staff regarding the intersection of race, religion, gender, and sexuality, and how these identities help foster a strong sense of diversity on campus. Students who identify with multicultural groups are welcome to attend.

Health Professions Advising (HPA) at Rhodes College serves as a clearinghouse for all things pre-health. Our health professions advisors serve all pre-health students, beginning with admission to Rhodes and extending beyond graduation, by creating an environment of support and opportunity through advising, programming, and campus and community partnerships. Join us on April 15th to learn more about health professions at Rhodes from Dr. Jessica Kelso, Director of Health Professions Advising, who will be joined by a member of the admission staff and current students.

Parents—do you have a senior who has applied or been admitted to Rhodes? If so, join us for a virtual panel featuring parents of current students. This is a great opportunity to ask questions to parents who were recently in your position. Hear from them about topics like the transition to campus, academics, campus resources, etc. Admission counselors will be available for questions after the program.

Date and link will be provided soon!

If you are a sophomore or junior in high school and looking to start your college search, join us for one of our two virtual “Junior/Sophomore Journey” programs. This will be an interactive program where students can hear from admission counselors about topics like essay writing, athletic recruitment, making the most of your virtual visit, etc. Students will have the chance to learn about Rhodes our admission process as well.

We invite you to explore our Info Session Video Series, where our counselors share in greater detail how Rhodes provides an unparalleled educational experience.

Wondering where our admission counselors will be this year? In addition to our own campus events, Rhodes will be represented at a number of larger college fairs and programs throughout the school year.

Our Webinar Wednesday sessions will be hosted weekly in the fall and will focus on special topics at Rhodes like health professions, pre-law advising, engineering, the fine arts, STEM, Jewish Life, and study abroad. These sessions will feature faculty and staff members as well as current students who can share their experiences.
