Do you play an instrument or sing? Do you produce music on your computer? Do you make beats and put them on SoundCloud? Are you an artist of any medium? Do you draw or sketch or sculpt or paint?
Scholarships in music and art are available to all incoming students. Formal training is not required to apply for these scholarships, but the determination of the award is dependent upon acceptance to the college and an audition or portfolio. It's not mandatory for those receiving a music scholarship to major or minor in music; however, recipients of the art scholarship must major or minor in art and art history.
Scholarships may be awarded in the following areas:
- Studio Art
- Musical Instrument, Production or Voice
- Songwriting and Music Composition
- Music Theory or Music History
How Do I Apply for These Scholarships?
- Step One: Complete and submit the Common Application. When you have submitted your admission application, you will receive an email that will provide you with log-in information to access your application status portal. You will also use the log-in information to access the Art and Music Scholarship application.
- Step Two: Using your log-in information, complete and submit the online Art and Music Scholarship application. You may apply in more than one category.
When are the Deadlines?
Art Applicants
Early Decision: Submit application and all materials within two weeks of your application to the college.
Early Action: Submit application and all materials by December 1.
Regular Decision: Submit application and all materials by February 15.
Music Applicants
Early Decision: Submit application and all materials within two weeks of your application to the college.
