Eckenhoff lab published a paper entitled "Hydrogen Production Using a Nickel Catalyst Combining Redox Activity and Pendent Base Effects" in Inorganic Chemistry, with 10 current or former lab students! This publication was years in the making, but worth the wait!

Congratulations to Emma Dove for winning the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Award in Inorganic Chemistry! This is in recognition of Emma's terrific performance in the inorganic chemistry class, excellence in research, and future plans of pursuing inorganic chemistry in graduate school and UNC Chapel Hill.

After a three-year hiatus, the Eckenhoff group returns to the ACS National Meeting in April of 2023 so seniors Emma Dove, Alex Hemphill, and Robbie Musicante could present their research!

Scott A. Wicker ('22) is the 2022 Rhodes College Winner of the ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry! Scott will be attending The University of Texas at Austin in the Fall of 2022! Congrats Scott! Meanwhile, Peyton Crest ('25) won the Chemistry Outstanding Freshman award! Congrats Peyton!!

Congratulations Sarah Helland ('21) for winning the 2021 ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry! Well earned, given 8 semesters of research yielding two published papers, taking the Inorganic Chemistry Course and Lab and then finally serving as the Inorganic Lab TA!
Scott Wicker ('22) and Name Hames both gave presentations at the Rhodes Symposium on April 30 and did a great job!

Congrats to Graduating group members Keren Lee, who is headed to the University of Pittsburgh to start her chemistry PhD, Liam Rhodes, who is working as a medical scribe in the DFW area, and Seth Rohlwing who is planning to start EMT training before applying to Medical School. I wish we could have celebrated your accomplishments in person. You will all be missed!
