Join your fellow Rhodes alums, parents, students, and community members as we team up for Virtual LynxFit! This is a 4-week challenge for those looking to change up their quarantine routine, continue their fitness journey, or start their fitness journey.  

More than ever, it is important to find new and fun activities to try in our daily lives as the pandemic continues. Through Virtual LynxFit, you can virtually team up with your chapter city, friends, and Rhodes network to compete through fitness! 

How It Works: 

Virtual LynxFit starts August 3 and is for everyone, regardless of fitness level or ability. 

  • Register to participate on either a team or as an individual.  

  • Want to join your chapter team? Find your Rhodes chapter from this list on our website and indicate your chapter city under “Team Name.” Let us know if you wish to serve as team captain! 

  • Teams and individuals will compete for the most points accumulated throughout the challenge (highest team average based on # of participants). 

  • Individual team members accumulate points for their team for each minute of exercise completed. (Run, walk, dance, yoga, tai chi, Zumba, rowing, golf, tennis, bike, elliptical, strength training, etc.) 

  • Team members will email their team captain every Sunday with the number of individual points earned that week. 

  • Team captains will add up and average their teams’ points for the week and submit them to alumni@rhodes.edu every Monday. Stats will be posted on Tuesdays. 

  • Once registered, training logs and more information will be emailed to you. 

  • The team with the highest overall average points per team member, wins!  

  • Winners announced August 31! 

At the beginning of each week, you will receive an email with some tips and motivational words from our very own coaches and special guests! Not sure about where to start or need some inspiration on fitness activities?

Check out our Resources Page for videos and descriptions on various physical activities for all levels and abilities.  

Other things: 

  • Submit pictures of you working out to be featured on our social media pages! 

  • Each participant will receive a downloadable certificate 

  • Winners will receive a Lynx Prize Pack!
