Information for Parents

Has Your Student Decided to Study Abroad?

We have placed a “Know Before You Go” series on our website. It covers logistics, such as passports and health precautions, as well as important information like insurance, cultural learning, setting goals, and adaptation.

Though this information mostly pertain to students who are studying internationally, students participating in off-campus domestic programs may find it useful as well. We encourage you to read through the series pages and discuss them with your student prior to departure.

Additionally, the U.S. Department of State has designed a very useful website just for students abroad. This site is informative, easy to navigate, and will be helpful while you plan to send your student abroad.
