Katherine West, Olivia Wells, Sara Sanders, Emily Hays, and Brittany Looney recently presented research at the 20th Annual Latin American Studies Symposium held at Birmingham-Southern College. Their work was done in the Rhodes Spanish Senior Seminar which focuses on the intersections between Latin American Literature and Critical Theory.
Rhodes Professors Elizabeth Pettinaroli and Eric Henager accompanied the group to the symposium that offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to share their research with peers from other institutions. Pettinaroli says she recieved numerous comments on how exceptional the Rhodes representations were.
The trip was sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program at Rhodes, an interdisciplinary forum that fosters exploration of the region.
