Viewers Get Rare Glimpse Inside Cary Fowler’s Global Seed Vault on NBC Today Show

This morning, viewers got a rare view inside the Global Seed Vault in Svalbard, Norway operated by Rhodes alumnus Dr. Cary Fowler ’71. Fowler, executive director of the Global Crop Diversity Trust, who received the honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Rhodes at last year’s Commencement, was featured on NBC’s Today show this morning.
At the time of the interview, President and Mrs. Troutt were in Svalbard visiting with Fowler and touring the Global Seed Vault in an effort to explore new opportunities for Rhodes students.
