Need a Bike To Get Around Campus?
Publication Date: 9/29/2010
The Rhodes College Bike Shop, located on the east side of Robinson Hall, is now open for business. Faculty, staff and students can check out a bike for up to two weeks at no charge. In addition, if they provide the parts, they can bring in their own bike for services or repairs.
Allen Pierce ’11, who manages the shop, also can provide instruction about bike maintenance. Current shop hours are MWF 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and TTh 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
“Fall is a great time to hop on two wheels and admire the leaves,” says Tracy L. Adkisson ′95 with Rhodes Environmental Planning Cooperative (EPC).
Last year, EPC sponsored bicycle excursions around the Memphis community. Anyone in the Rhodes community interested in riding with a group this year can contact Adkisson at adkissont@rhodes.edu
