Gaduating seniors Blair Kinsey, Mia-Miracle Craig, and Oliver Hurst received awards. Professor of Music William Skoog, and Brian Foshee, who recently retired as director of physical plant, also received awards.
Julia Blackmon, a Rhodes College senior from Austin, TX, has been selected to receive the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, which provides a one year $40,000 grant for purposeful, independent exploration outside the United States.
Rhodes College alumna the Rev. Dr. Dorothy Sanders Wells made history Feb. 3 becoming the first woman and first Black person elected as Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi.
