Departmental offices, classrooms, and a full range of laboratories are located in both Kennedy Hall and Robertson Hall. The department maintains a wide variety of state-of-the-art instruments, equipment, and other resources to enable cutting-edge research by faculty and students. In addition, faculty in chemistry have individual dedicated lab space for their research to meet the research needs of each person. Computational Resources
Along with a site license for Gaussian 16 and GaussView 6, the campus houses a super-computing center in Briggs Hall that is available to chemistry faculty and students for running computational modelling. (NSF CCI-2018758, 2020)
Teaching labs
The department has seven fully stocked teaching lab spaces for the wide range of labs that are offered, which are appropriately equipped with items ranging from heating/stirring plates, analytical balances, ovens, hoods, rotovaps, calorimeters, etc.
