Alumna Crowned Miss Maryland

Brooke Poklemba ’08 of Westminster, MD, was crowned Miss Maryland at the June 27, 2009 Miss Maryland Scholarship Pageant in Hagarstown.
Poklemba, a psychology major at Rhodes, will receive a $10,000 scholarship and other gifts and will represent the state at the upcoming Miss America pageant. Her platform was “Autism Awareness: The Importance of Early Intervention.”
