Rhodes Represented at Computational Chemistry Conference

Chemistry professor Mauricio Cafiero and Rhodes students Emily Kee ’09, Maura Livengood ’10, Caroline Lee ’11, and Katie Morgan ’11 will attend the 7th annual MERCURY Conference on Computational Chemistry August 2-5. The conference takes place in Clinton, N.Y.
Kee and Livengood will present their work “Aromatic Interactions in the Binding of Ligands to HMGCoA Reductase.”
The Rhodes group is part of the MERCURY consortium that presents the conference. The consortium is a group of computational chemists at liberal arts colleges.
