Open Rhodes is a two-day summer program for first-year and transfer students. Parents are welcome but not required. Some student sessions are open to parents, and each two-day program includes a parent/family track. Students are housed on campus for the overnight program. Parents and families looking for hotel accommodations can find a list of hotels in a link on the left-hand side of this page.
Registration and Cost
Once students have paid the enrollment deposit and received their Rhodes e-mail account, they register online through the New Student Programs site (log in using the format RHODES/username in the username field). Please note that only students will be given access to the registration information. Date assignments will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to each student′s Rhodes College e-mail address with the assigned registration date. Registration is currently open!
There is no cost for the parent program. The student program costs $160—which includes all meals, materials, and student housing. The program fee will be included on the fall tuition bill. There will not be a separate billing for this program.
New Student Move-In
New students (first year students and transfers) will move in on Thursday, August 15th from 9 am until 2 pm. We will have staff on hand to assist with moving your boxes and suitcases!
Parents, families and friends of new students are invited to stay for Opening Convocation, which takes place on Friday, August 16th at 9:30 am in the multi-sports forum of the Bryan Campus Life Center. There will be a time for a formal good-bye with your students at 11 am.
Welcome Week
