College life is about the life of the mind—and so much more.
Simply stated, your relationships and activities outside of the classroom combine to make you a whole person and a leader.
It’s a world filled with possibilities.
Mingle with other Rhodes students in whatever combination of student government, athletics (NCAA Div. III and intramural), arts, politics or religion is your passion. You will find your niche among the many clubs and organizations at Rhodes, or you may start your own
You’ll find a varied and inclusive social life at Rhodes—even though 50% of students participate in our non-residential Greek system, most parties are open to all. Students flock to campus activities like films, lectures and bands. Rhodes’ Multicultural Life program collaborates with student groups to sponsor events celebrating diversity in culture, ethnicity, religion and sexuality.
The Bryan Campus Life Center houses sports and fitness facilities, the Lynx Lair—food court and social area—and the McCallum Ballroom, where many college and community-wide events are held. At the Paul Barrett Jr. Library, it really is a 24/7 world. Boasting a coffee bar (featuring Starbucks), computer labs and 24-hour lounge with study and TV areas, the library is the true center of campus.
Over 70% of our students experience residence life in residence halls and on-campus apartments. Our food service offers options from traditional hot meals to salad bars, vegetarian and vegan dishes, deli food, pizza and sushi in the Catherine Burrow Refectory (“The Rat”), Lynx Lair, and the Middle Ground coffee and snack bar.
